The ADHS Office of Vital Records recently won the Constellation Awards from the National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS). The award recognizes the innovative efforts to collectively host a delayed birth registration event with vital records departments from Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah on the Navajo Nation. The event helps elderly Tribal individuals register their birth and ultimately obtain a birth certification.
The NAPHSIS award program honors excellence, dedication, and service of our professionals whose steadfast efforts have contributed to the advancement and improvement of vital records, vital statistics, and public health information. Formed in 1933, NAPHSIS brings together more than 250 public health professionals from each state, the five territories, New York City, and the District of Columbia and is the national nonprofit organization representing state vital records and public health statistics offices.
Congratulations to our Vital Records team for this recognition of your outstanding work!
