While many parts of the country are still in the throes of extreme winter weather, here in Arizona, we’re seeing warmer temperatures and beautiful weather. This is the time of year Arizonans are outside getting active. It’s a great time to go for bike rides, take walks around the neighborhood, get the kids and dogs out to the park, or go for a hike.
While you and your family are out enjoying the fresh air, remember to protect yourself from the dangers of the sun by practicing sun safety. Before you go outside, put sunscreen on yourself and your kids, wear a hat and sunglasses, and stay in the shade when you can.
In February, people don’t often consider preparing for heat-related illness, but with Phoenix temperatures expected to be in the upper 80s many days this week, it’s important to be prepared. If you and your family are getting outside to enjoy this fantastic weather, stay hydrated by drinking lots of water before, during, and after your adventure. Of course, don’t forget to have fun. Getting in 30 minutes a day of physical activity (or 60 minutes a day for kids) can be easy when the weather is this great.
yeah.always protect from sun by applying any lotion that suitable. if not, it may trigger skin cancer.
I agree, it’s great to be in a place where the weather is warm while other regions are freezing. I love Nature and am thankful for every day even when it’s raining cats and dogs. Once I used to jog in the mornings when the temperature was 15 degrees below zero, it was so much exciting! )))
