Our Healthcare-Associated Infections Program, in collaboration with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Grand Canyon Chapter, hosted their state of the state meeting last month. This annual event is dedicated to program updates and education from many areas of the ADHS Bureau of Epidemiology and Disease Control Services. The event took place at Health Services Advisory Group and was well attended by more than 80 infection preventionists and other state partners.

Our staff presented updates on a variety of infectious disease topics, and their status in 2015. This event is an example of our continued collaboration with partners by bringing public health and providers together to improve patient safety across Arizona!
