“I don’t vape, because there’s no point to it and I have better things to do with my life.”
That wisdom comes from Serenity, a pilot who is part of the Unvape Generation you’ll meet at unvape.org. She joins other young people who, unafraid of a future without nicotine, share on the ADHS YouTube channel and in social media posts why vaping isn’t part of their lives.
Launched in April, the Unvape Generation campaign is for all youth who would rather be themselves than give in to peer pressure. It’s about celebrating their talents, passions, and interests, and choosing their dreams over vaping. Most importantly, it’s about banding together to put an end to nicotine dependence once and for all.
The campaign recently added features on:
- Anthony, who rides motocross;
- Desiree, whose passion is playing the harp;
- and River and Ryder, who compete in rodeos.
You can search for the hashtag #Unvape to see and share these videos on social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, and YouTube. The website Unvape.org is designed to inform those ages 13 to 17 about the advantages of life without vaping or tobacco use.
The video below allows parents – and you – to see the campaign’s overall messages. Featuring the Unvape Generation is one more way our Office of Tobacco Prevention and Cessation helps Arizonans of all ages live healthier lives.
