Behavioral Health Contract Scope Enters the Homestretch

June 20th, 2012

Our Request For Purchase (otherwise known as RFP) Core Team (Bob Sorce, Victoria Navarra, Teresita Oaks, and Chris Leavitt) and our entire cast of characters has been doing a full court press for the last 6 months to put together the Scope of Work that we’ll use when we go out for bid for the massive behavioral health services contract in Maricopa County later this summer.

Getting here was a mountain of work- but by breaking the project down into digestible bites and keeping everything organized via SharePoint- we’re just about there.  Our homestretch activities include identifying, collecting and packaging all the “Documents Incorporated by Reference” and doing final touch up work.  Shortly after we’ve done that, the Scope of Work package will go over to our partners at the AG’s Office for a review.  If all goes well- we’ll be ready to put the project out to bid later this Summer.

It’s difficult to put into words how much work has gone into this product.  I know that many of you put this work on top of all your normal work, had put off other projects, and sacrificed some of your home-life for this product- and I just really want you to know that I appreciate it.  It’s going to save lives.

Implementing Our Strategic Plan- Integrate Behavioral and Acute Health Care

May 1st, 2012

Our interdisciplinary team completed a major milestone this week- by developing an initial rough draft of what will become the Scope of Work that will be included in the upcoming Request for Proposal for the behavioral health (and acute care) services in Maricopa County. This effort has taken literally thousands of staff hours to put together- and the folks working on the project have to do double-time because they still need to accomplish their normal daily tasks.  Well done- and take a well deserved breath!

Behavioral Health “RFI”

March 27th, 2012

We had a productive “Request For Information (RFI)” session this week regarding our ”Recovery Through Whole Health, the Regional Behavioral Health Authority with Health Homes  project.  About 150 folks attended the session- including potential bidders, members of the behavioral health provider community and peers and family members.  We’ll be using the information from the session this week to help us navigate our way as we continue to develop the Scope of Work for the Request for Proposal that we’ll be putting out for behavioral health services in Maricopa County later this year.  Our Integration Website has more details about the event including the PowerPoint we used.
