About Anne Whitmire

Anne Whitmire is the WIC Breastfeeding and Training Administrator for the Arizona Department of Health Services. In this position, she oversees all the program activities related to breastfeeding programs including WIC, WIC Peer Counselor, Together for the Duration, Make It Work Arizona, LATCH-AZ, Breastfeeding Hotline and the ADHS Breastfeeding Strategic Plan. Anne received her Masters of Public Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2018 and her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University in 1994. She has been a Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2005. Her true passion is making sure that women have all the education, tools, and support necessary to make the best infant feeding decision for her and her family.
