iStock_000045039496_XXXLargersDuring the development of the Arizona State Health Improvement Plan (AzHIP), workgroups identified strategies that would cut across several of the leading health issues, impacting one or more of them. These cross-cutting strategies target worksite wellness, school health, and the Built Environment.

Last week, we hosted a webinar with leadership partners from the Arizona Department of Education, Vitalyst Health Foundation, and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health to present the draft tactics and actions for each of the cross-cutting strategies. Approximately 65 individuals participated in the webinar and were given the opportunity to provide feedback via an online survey. This information will be compiled and will help inform each of the cross-cutting work sessions in May. By bringing together partners to address these important issues, we continue to strengthen the public health network and public health infrastructure in Arizona. It’s exciting to see the great work and successes that are already being realized. I want to thank everyone who has been involved throughout the process.
